‘Echo’ receives new award at Nature Film Festival

Iranian short ‘Echo’ wins award at International Nature Film Festival in Poland.

Iranian short attendee ‘Echo’ has succeeded to grab an award at the 2020 biannual Włodzimierz Puchalski International Nature Film Festival in Poland.

The 18th edition of the Polish film fest, which was held on September 23-27, bestowed the Special Jury Prize upon Barzan Rostami’s acclaimed short film about wildlife and environmental abuse by human beings.

Very recently, ‘Echo’ won the Best Sound Designing award at the 7th Pink City Int’l Short Film Festival (PCISFF) in India.

In September, ‘Echo’ was also screened at the 12th Charlotte Film Festival in the US, the 10th Encounter for Cinefagos (Festival de Cine-arte En La Frontera/ Film-Art Festival on the Border) on Venezuela-Colombia border as well as the 4th Chaniartoon - Chania Cartoon and Animation Festival in Greece.

The long list of the international screenings of ‘Echo’ goes on with the 4th Rosarito Film Festival in the US, the 6th Corto e a Capto- Premio Mario Puzo Film Festival in Italy, the 18th Hiroshima Int’l Animation Festival in Japan, the 7th Star Film Fest in Croatia as well as the 6th Global Impact Film Festival (GIDC) in the US.

Late in May 2020, ‘Echo’ went on screen at the 4th Southern Cone International Film Festival (FICCSUR) in Mexico, and succeeded to grab the Best Animation Short Film award of the event.

The Włodzimierz Puchalski International Nature Film Festival is the largest show of nature films in Poland and a celebration of environmentalists, filmmakers and naturalists who are concerned with the problems of today's world and the nature.
